JOB TITLE: Occupational Therapist: Early Intervention (EI) / Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) - Multnomah Early Childhood Program (MECP)

 

Internal Candidates - Position closes at 4:00pm, Monday, June 24, 2024

 

External Candidates - Open until filled

 

Position start date - As soon as possible

 

REPORTS TO:  MECP Program Administrator

  

Job Purpose Statement/s: To assess fine motor and adaptive skills of children in Early Intervention/Early Childhood Special Education and to develop and implement instructional/developmental interventions with children and families.

Job Requirements – Qualifications:

 

Experience Preferred:  Graduate of an accredited college of Occupational Therapy. Experience working with young children with special needs (birth through five years of age) and their families.

 

Skills, Knowledge and/or Abilities Required: 

Licenses, Bonding and/or Testing Required:  Licensure for Occupational Therapy, Criminal Justice Fingerprint Clearance, valid driver’s license and evidence of insurability.

  

Must complete fingerprinting and background check with Oregon Department of Education.

Terms of Employment:  Salary and work year according to the current contract and school calendar.

 

Evaluation:  Performance of this job will be evaluated each year in accordance with provisions of the Board's Policy on Evaluation of Licensed Staff.
